Personal Training 
The purpose of the Personal Training Program is to provide safe and effective exercise programs to the members of Onslow Fitness Center through one-on-one fitness consultations, comprehensive evaluation and individually designed programs.
Our mission is to enhance the overall health and quality of life of our clients. We want to create a balanced lifestyle that will contribute to the individual’s long-term physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth. The Personal Training Program encourages individuals to enhance their level of strength, endurance, and flexibility, in the most productive, practical, and safest manner possible.
The Onslow Fitness certified personal trainers provide the motivation, education, guidance, and individual instruction required to achieve personal fitness goals. Trainers will design a tailored exercise program for each individual that reflects the client’s objectives, fitness level, and experience. Trainers will also evaluate and modify the exercise program according to the changing needs of the individual.

Sarah Phillips
Director of Group Personal Training AFAA
Sarah has been actively training individuals and groups at Onslow Fitness for over 3 years. Starting out as a yoga instructor, Sarah now also teaches aqua, spin and everything in between. Craving knowledge and experience has established Sarah as a multifaceted and integral part of the Onslow Fitness training staff. In addition to being a certified personal trainer through the Aerobic Fitness Association of America and a group fitness instructor, Sarah is also a certified physical therapy aide which enables her to work with all ages and conditions. Sarah specializes in group training, weight loss, yoga and flexibility. Sarah is well known for adding fun and originality to your workouts.

Kim Levasseur Personal Trainer AFAA
Kim brings a wealth of experience and an extremely diverse fitness background to the Onslow Fitness training staff. Kim has been involved in the fitness industry for over six years. In addition to being a popular personal trainer she is also the Group Fitness Coordinator at Onslow Fitness and is a regular fixture as a group exercise instructor. Kim is certified as a personal trainer through the Aerobic Fitness Association of America and is also Bodypump and BodyAttack certified. Kim specializes in Pre and Post Natal fitness as well as weight loss, core conditioning and small group training.

Michelle Ennis Personal Trainer AFAA
Michelle has been with Onslow Fitness for over 15 years. During her tenure Michelle has served not only as a Personal Trainer, but has also taught a variety of group exercise classes. Her commitment to continuing education gives Michelle a unique mixture of experience and cutting edge technical knowledge. Certified with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America since 1996 and Yogafit since 2000, Michelle is a favorite among members and specializes in Senior Adult Fitness, flexibility, balance and coordination training.

Cathy Goodson Personal Trainer
AFAA
Cathy is a lifelong resident of Onslow County. After graduating from Costal Caroline Community College she furthered her education at Campbell University and UNCW. Cathy is Married to Mike and they have four children ages 23, 18, 16, and 12. Cathy personally has been an avid exerciser for twenty plus years. In the past five years she has completed a half-marathon, sprint triathlon, obtained a spin certification from International Fitness Trainers of America. She has been teaching group exercise classes for over three years. Cathy has a passion to help clients develop an exercise program that will help lead them toward the ultimate goal of well being for a life time.

Hollie Davis
Personal Trainer ACSM
As a native from Houston, Texas, Hollie brings a sense of new talent to the Onslow Fitness Training Staff. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University, she went on to obtain her personal training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. Working with a variety of clients, including brides-to-be preparing for the big day, Hollie specializes in functional and strength training guaranteed to get results. She enjoys encouraging her clients to reach the next level, leaving them feeling renewed and accomplished.

Kerri Davis Personal Trainer NESTA
Kerri is a native of Onslow County. After graduating from Richland’s High School, Kerri went on to Lenoir Community College and late earned certifications in Group Spinning, CPR/AED, and Personal Training through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association. In addition to serving our members as a personal trainer she is also a favorite in our group exercise program namely Spinning. Her hobbies include among other things skydiving

John Heger
Personal Trainer
John has been working with Onslow Fitness since February 2009. John has a Bachelors of Science from Millikin University and has been personal training for over 9 years. Working with clients from 16 years old to 80 years old, he has the ability to formulate a custom workout program to help you reach your specific goals. John specializes in weight loss, rehabilitation, sports specific training as well as show prep for bodybuilding, fitness, and figure.

Cinnamon Vosburg Personal Trainer NSCA
Cinnamon has recently joined the Onslow Fitness training staff. Cinnamon is originally from Pennsylvania and moved here at the end of 2008. Her credentials are with the NSCA and she attended Pinnacle Career Institute’s online program where she graduated with a 3.8 grade point average. Through her school she got to experience Boot Camp in Las Vegas at the Professional Fitness Institute and participated in training with Tommy Boyer Kendrick and Mr. Natural Olympia, Ron Williams. In May of 2009 she attended the Perform Better Summit in Rhode Island. Some of the lectures she heard were Alwyn Cosgrove, Todd Wright, and Martin Rooney. At the Summit she learned about functional strength training and training modifications for the obese. She loves helping people reach their fitness goals and makes all of her sessions with clients memorable.
